Come get professional improv training at the historic State Theatre.  Rotate through a series of classes focusing on scene work, group mind, pantomime, and much more in a variety of improv styles.  The week will end with a final performance where students will improvise an entire play in front of an audience.

What is Longform Improvisation?

Longform improv centers on ensemble playing, grounded scene work, and the creation of a thematically unified piece of comic theater. A performance typically involves two to ten performers working from an audience suggestion to create a series of interconnected scenes.

The end result might be a play-like structure with multiple storylines, or it might be seemingly unrelated scenes that turn out to have a common theme running through them. The possibilities are endless.

Improv training will bring confidence, spontaneity, and immediacy to your acting... and it’s really fun.
