EVENT PARKING - Secure covered parking for only $6.00!

We have joined together with our generous parking sponsor, Thomas Properties Group, to offer inexpensive covered parking at the One American Center parking garage, conveniently located one block from the theatres at 600 Congress.

Your $6.00 parking pass may be purchased at the garage entrance from the parking attendant (cash only).

STREET PARKING

Parking Meters - Throughout downtown Austin (I-35 to Lamar Blvd., Lady Bird Lake to 10th St.), parking meters are free after 6:00pm Monday through Wednesday, after 12:00am (midnight) Thursday through Saturday, all day Sunday and on some holidays. Outside of downtown (north of 10th St.), parking meter hours are 8am-6pm Monday through Saturday and free on Sunday.

Parking Meter Time Limits- During the day, the time limits for these spaces vary. Common maximum parking time limits are no more than 3 hours. Each meter is labeled with its maximum parking time limit as well as the hours and days that parking meter time limits are in effect.

Parking Meter Fees - Unless otherwise posted, you must feed your meter (without exceeding the maximum time limit) Monday through Wednesday from 8:00am until 6:00pm, Thursday through Friday from 8:00am until midnight, and Saturday from 11:00am until midnight. Most parking meters in downtown Austin accept credit cards and all meters accept nickels, dimes and quarters.

Parking Meter Fee Exemptions (Free Parking) - The parking meter fee is waived on these holidays:
January 1 (New Year's Day)
July 4 (Independence Day)
First Monday in September (Labor Day)
Last Thursday in November (Thanksgiving)
December 25 (Christmas Day)

BICYCLE PARKING OPTIONS

Bike racks can be found at the following One American Center locations:

  • at the top of the garage entrance ramp
  • along the north end of the 600 block of Congress
  • along the 100 block of 7th Street
  • in the alley, near the garage ramp on 7th Street
Additional bike parking may be available at 300 W 6th street in secure, rentable bike lockers located in the parking garage of the building.
