End Of Year Education & Outreach Campaign Launches

Each year you have the opportunity to see the Paramount Theatre as if for the first time when she is beautifully decorated for the Holidays. It is an experience only rivaled by actually seeing the Paramount for the first time – much like the children who come to the Theatre as part of our Youth Outreach program do.

That's why the Paramount Theatre is launching a new campaign to support our youth outreach programs. Donors to this campaign will allow children who would otherwise be unable to attend theatre to come at no expense to them.

Plus, donors will receive special recognition with the donor's name placed on an ornament and hung on a beautifully decorated tree in the Paramount Theatre lobby.

Appreciator of the arts and of the Theatre may already know how important it is to share this wonderful experience with our city's youths.

But what they may not know about is all of the care we take to ensure that the children you help us reach with our youth outreach program receive a valuable and lasting cultural and educational experience.

The experience for these kids starts in the classroom where our youth outreach and education director hosts an in class workshop that ties concepts from the play to what is being taught in the classroom. After the performance, every student receives a study guide created by our youth outreach department to reinforce and teach ideas from the play.

Many of the children who attend our school shows come from Title 1 schools. That means that more than half of the children at the school live below the poverty line. In some cases, these children simply cannot afford the cost of admission or the cost of transportation. In these cases, we provide free admission and cover the cost of the buses so that no child misses this opportunity because of their economic status.

Donations can be made online or by phone at (512) 692-0509.
