Upcoming Shows

Kick off Marathon Month and tigthen your sheet-togas, everyone; we've got some jogging and drinking to do! This time around, we'll meet at the Paramount Theatre and set off on a 1 mile run/walk to Rainey Street hotspot Banger's for a pint of complimentary, locally-brewed beer. From there, we'll take the 1 mile back to the Paramount for more beer and a 7:30pm screening of Animal House. This is the film that catapulted John Belushi to super stardom, established togas as a permanent staple in college couture, and simultaneously introduced Kevin Bacon to the world and "Road trip!" to the academic lexicon, leading us inevitably to "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon." Event benefits Austin Pets Alive! and the historic Paramount Theatre.

About the Film

Starring John Belushi, Tim Matheson, Peter Riegert, Tom Hulce, Stephen Furst, Karen Allen, with Kevin Bacon and Donald Sutherland. Written by Harold Ramis & Douglas Kenney & Chris Miller. Directed by John Landis.

As hopeful  freshmen Chip (Bacon), Kent (Furst) and Larry (Hulce) vie for the fraternities, Delta's “Bluto” Blutarsky (Belushi) tries to top his beer-drinking record, and skirt-chasing pledge chairman Eric "Otter" Stratton (Matheson) plots to get the dean’s wife into bed. Otter's friend Boon (Riegert) and his girlfriend Katy (Allen) bring Larry to a pot party thrown by bored English professor Dave Jennings (Sutherland), while Otter helps Dorfman by terrorizing the entire troop of ROTC cadets at rival Omega House. Dean Wormer (John Vernon), fed up with Delta’s embarrassing pranks, schemes with other fraternities to throw the “Animal House” off campus, once and for all.

Regular Admission tickets available day-of-show at the Paramount Theatre Box Office (713 Congress).
