The hits just keep coming in the Summer Classic Film Series!
Week two of our Summer School section will focus on such entertaining topics as Literature 101 (Martin Scorsese’s The Age of Innocence, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, Sally Potter’s underseen gem Orlando starring Tilda Swinton), Kleptomania 101 (The Italian Job starring Michael Caine and How To Steal A Million starring Audrey Hepburn and Peter O’Toole), and Zoology 101 (Spielberg classics JAWS and Jurassic Park).
Then, Foreign Films Week brings us masterpieces from around the globe, including the 50th anniversaries of Ingmar Bergman’s Persona and Michelangelo Antonioni’s Blow Up, the 70th anniversary of Jean Cocteau’s Beauty and the Beast (on a newly restored 35mm print), Powell and Pressburger’s ballet classic The Red Shoes, and a new digital restoration of Akira Kurosawa’s epic Ran.
We also have two more family classics coming up in our Family Film Festival, where adults can enjoy $10 tickets and kids 12 and under enjoy $6 tickets! Disney’s animated classic Aladdin screens Saturday August 6th, and John Huston’s musical favorite Annie screens Sunday August 14th. Bring the whole family!
