We will be featuring nine (that’s right, nine) classic horror films over the course of two days, all screening on glorious 35mm film. You want classic monsters from the 1930s? We’ve got the Oscar-winning Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, plus classic Universal Monsters Frankenstein and The Mummy.
We’ve got Ridley Scott’s masterclass in terror, Alien, and not one but two Hitchcock films, The Birds and Psycho.
If you’re a devoted horror fan like me, then some of your most treasured movie memories are probably those late October days sitting in front of the TV watching one scary movie after another. Now, the Paramount is giving you the chance to recreate that experience, but on our great big screen with real, actual film prints, the way these movies were meant to be seen. You can buy a ticket to each individual film, or you can buy a “Reel”-y Scary Badge, which will get you into all nine films.
I hope to see you at the fully decorated, totally haunted Paramount Theatre for two days of tricks and treats this October 24th and 25th. Check out the “Reel”-y Scary Movie Marathon page for showtimes, ticket and badge information, and be sure to bring your screams!
